5th Squad is a veteran-founded 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Jackson, Mississippi, dedicated to supporting veterans in crisis through immediate, life-sustaining assistance. Founded in 2016 by soldiers from the 184th Sustainment Command, the organization provides emergency aid for housing, utilities, food, and other urgent needs through programs like Quick Reaction Funds and Back to the Barracks. With over 85% of donations going directly to veterans, 5th Squad’s mission is to restore dignity, stability, and hope—veterans helping veterans, right here in Mississippi.
